Description
The UCSD Mother, Child, & Adolescent HIV Program provides comprehensive HIV care to pregnant women, children, teens, and mothers. A multidisciplinary team of HIV specialists provides medical care, clinical trials, patient education, counseling, case management, and community education.

Research Studies
The UCSD Mother, Child, and Adolescent HIV Program is a part of the Pediatric AIDS Clinical Trials Group (PACTG). Dr. Stephen A. Spector, the program director fir the UCSD Mother, Child Adolescent HIV Program is the Principal Investigator for the IMPAACT Group (International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trial) and the Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study (PHACS). Through these NIH funded study groups, UCSD offers a wide variety of clinical treatment and observational studies.

The UCSD Mother, Child, and Adolescent HIV Program invites volunteers from the community to participate in our research studies. Opportunities are available for pregnant women, infants, children, and adolescents living with HIV infection. Call 619-543-8080 and ask for the pediatric nurse of the day.
